Whether you loved it, meh’d it or hated it, Birdman was a film that saturated the world of film in 2014. Alejandro G. Iñárritu, the director of that film certainly isn’t resting on his laurels (which included the Academy Award for Best Director [NOT THAT FILM AWARDS RELATE ANY GENUINE INFORMATION REGARDING CREATIVE MERIT]) and is already deep in post-production for his follow up, The Revenant. We were sort of excited, but now we’re really excited. This looks like some sort of Jeremiah Johnson cum McCabe and Mrs Miller cum Leonardo DiCaprio cum suits made out of bears and we’re in 110%. If DiCaprio’s involvement isn’t enough to get you go then how about Tom Hardy? That do anything for you. The Revenant. We hate the title. We love the trailer.

“The Revenant takes place in the 19th century and follows Hugh Glass, a fur trapper who is mauled by a bear while hunting. His companions rob him and leave him to die, but he survives and sets out to get revenge on the men who betrayed him.“

The Revenant stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hardy, Will Poulter, Domhnall Gleeson and Lukas Haas and is set for release in December, 2015.
