There’s a new Blade Runner movie heading our way, whether you like it (everybody else) or not (me). To some of us (me), the original Blade Runner is a near-perfect film that doesn’t need to be meddled with in the way that Harrison Ford seems to be hellbent on meddling with all of his classic films. To the others of us (everybody else), the combination of Denis Villeneuve, Roger Deakins, Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling is too good to resist.

A bit of a difference in opinion doesn’t mean that we can’t all sit back and enjoy a spot of virtual reality though, does it? Software engineer Quentin Lengele has taken his love for Ridley Scott’s 1982 original Blade Runner movie and channeled that enthusiasm into constructing a virtual reality tour of Rick Deckhard’s apartment? A virtual reality tour of an apartment sounds boring, we hear you say. Not when you’re blasting Vangelis’s “Memories of Green” (from the score of Scott’s film) and the apartment in question belongs to one of the greatest science fiction film of all time. Interestingly enough, Disney also has a virtual reality Blade Runner project in development, set to coincide with the arrival of Blade Runner 2049.

Villeneuve’s sequel will be released in October, 2017 and stars will star Harrison Ford, Ryan Gosling, Ana de Armas, Robin Wright, Jared Leto, Barkhad Abdi, Lennie James, Mackenzie Davis and Sylvia Hoeks.
