If there’s one thing we love about the internet it’s how it facilitates the sharing of talent. If there’s another it’s how much information about the new Star Wars film, The Force Awakens, seems to be floating around. Sometimes, those two great things combine to create the perfect storm of internet. Here are some of our favourite fan-made posters for The Force Awakens. We’ve credited them where we can, but if we’re missing a credit and you know which direction to point us, then point away!
By Andrew Swainson. There’s a speeder but it’s different. There’s a person staring at the moons over a desert but it’s all different. We’re digging the old and new.By Paul Shipper. Luke Skywalker may have never looked so badass.Only characters from the original trilogy have made it in, so probably one of the older fan posters.Very Kylo Ren centric. Why not? If you got it, flaunt it.By rampantimaginationA. Drawn in that classic Star Wars poster style. Definitely giving off Attack of the Clones vibes…poster wise, that is.This doesn’t look like any character we’ve seen so far, and probably isn’t, but dang it looks great.Clearly and welcomely inspired by the iconic poster for A New Hope. It’s the sky. It’s the planet. It’s the Luke Skywalker looking weary. We love it.One of our favourites. Could be THE favourite. Too many too choose from….brain hurts. The Millenium Falcon in a starlit cave…hard to beat.Cartoony and vibrant. Shades of the animated The Clone Wars television series.Luke Skywalker looking like he could very well belong in Camelot instead of Tatooine. This one speaks for itself. Didn’t think Star Destroyer crashes could get better than the one in the most recent trailer. Turns out they can.Another poster inspired by a poster from the original trilogy, this time Return of the Jedi.By Phil Noto. Rey and Fin and what looks like Captain Phasma, but we’re not quite sure on that last one.By Legion of Potatoes. Kylo Ren holding his lightsaber very much like Luke Skywalker did in the poster for A New Hope, way back in 1977.By Kode Logic. Inspired by the very first glimpse we got of this curious looking lightsaber we got when the very first trailer from The Force Awakens debuted.By Darth Temoc. Luke Skywalker looks sort of of evil in this one.
