ant-man

We’re edging ever closer to that huge Marvel release that we’ve all been champing at the bit for. Oh, and Ant-Man is also being released by Marvel this year. The studio has dropped the latest Ant-Man trailer just in time for the release of Avengers: Age of Ultron, the latter of which has considerably dwarfed any hype that the little fella might’ve conjured up. That said, the trailers for the Peyton Reed-directed flick have been pretty sub par to date, so it’s really not our fault that we’re not particularly excited for Ant-Man. Are we wrong we when suggest that it all looks a bit rushed and cheap?  More like a comic book film that might’ve come out in the 90s? Or that the trailers don’t seem to be aware of the inherent comedy of a superhero such as Ant-Man? We’re only a couple of months from release, so I guess we’ll find out.

“Thief Scott Lang must aid his mentor Dr. Hank Pym in safeguarding the mystery of the Ant-Man technology – which allows its user to decrease in size but increase in strength – from various new threats, and plot a heist that will save the Earth.”

Ant-Man stars Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Bobby Cannavale and Michael Peña and is set for release in July, 2015.
