There’s something about Guardians of the Galaxy that’s exciting us but we can’t quite put our figure on it. We feel as though we should think that it looks terrible and yet somehow we’re frantically counting down to August 1st. Marvel reached the height of their creative output with Captain America: The Winter Soldier, but only time will tell whether that movie was a lucky once off or a happy indicator of things to come.

This video was put together by one of the billions of people around the world with access to YouTube, editing software and too much time on their hands. Thankfully, we are the ones that benefit. It’s a nifty fan made Star Wars trailer designed to emulate the most recent Guardians of the Galaxy trailer. Best case scenario – GotG is the next Star Wars. Worst cast – we’ve got another Battlefield Earth on our hands.
