I’m assuming most hardcore Wes Anderson fans will have already seen this, but it’s worth a look for most cinema fans anyway. It works as a stand alone film, but is also a prologue-of-sorts to Anderson’s 2007 flick The Darjeeling Limited. It was a shame that on release most of the attention Hotel Chevalier got was for the Natalie Portman extended nude scene (not that there’s anything wrong with scenes like that), because it’s a really good flick in its own right.
