The continual and enthusiastic support of filmmakers is paramount here at ReelGood. Support This is and area of ReelGood in which we highlight a potential film project that needs your help! Local filmmakers Sanjay De Silva and Barun Chatterjee recently travelled to the Southern Coast of Sri Lanka to go into production for ‘Maalu’, a story about two young boys who dream of becoming football superstars. Now they need your help to finish the job.

Set in a fishing village on the tsunami effected southern coast of Sri Lanka, ‘MAALU’ is a poignant coming of age story about a young boy who dreams of becoming a football superstar. While the lifeblood of the community is its fishing industry, the ever increasing pull of the outside world means that young boys no longer want to follow in the footsteps of their fathers and are instead enchanted with the idea and glamour of the western world. 

It’s obvious this is something we all want to see. Head to Maalu‘s Pozible page to help Sanjay and Barun realise their vision and get the film the money it needs to be made.
