Beginner Batman.

Tomorrow the special edition of The Dark Knight trilogy is being released on DVD and BluRay, which means heaps of special features for special features nuts. I used to be into special features in a big way, but for some reason I sort of lost interest in them a bit. This is pretty nifty though. As supportive of Ben Affleck in the role as I am, it’s difficult see anyone donning the cape and cowl than Christian Bale, such is the indelible mark he left on the Batman role. Well, this is where it all started. I remember reading somewhere that Christopher Nolan knew he needed someone who could project the intensity of a man who’s willing to become Batman believably, and from all accounts Christian Bale is a fairly intense sort of fellow.

Interestingly enough, the woman who is standing in for the part of Rachel Dawes in this video is none other than Amy Adams, who of course played Lois Lane opposite Henry Cavill’s Superman in Man of Steel, and will be in the upcoming sequel Batman vs Superman.

The six disc Special Edition being released tomorrow will feature all three films with their existing special features, plus two new features and collectable memorabilia.
