Perfume Genius’ Queen (dir. Cody Critcheloe)

Perfume Genius aka Seattle solo artist Mike Hadreas makes no apologies. He’s bold and in your face and this clip is no exception. It is surrealism at its best and it fits this moody track about “gay panic” so well. In a nutshell, Hadreas plays a street hustler who’s picked up by a woman in a cadillac, encounters an elevator filled with pigs, trashes a room of computer screens, meets a one legged Elvis impersonator at the urinal and attends (or rather catwalks through) a business meeting with giant shrimp. I guess you just have to watch it.
