The keymaster.
For a while there, we’d entirely forgotten about Al Pacino. We don’t mean that in a nasty way, just a completely honest way. Good to see ya, Al. Well, sort of good to see you, considering it’s been a while since we liked you in anything. People are saying that Pacino’s performance in David Gordon Green’s Manglehorn is his best in years. That’s not saying all that much but it’s good to know ol’ Michael Corleone is still truckin’ around, doin’ his thang. Green managed to somehow extract a great performance out of Nicholas Cage in Joe just two short years ago, so compared to that getting something worthwhile out of Pacino would surely be a walk in the park. Who knows? We definitely don’t, because we’ve only seen this trailer and we’re hardly soothsayers, now are we?
“Left heartbroken by the woman he loved and lost many years ago, Manglehorn, an eccentric small-town locksmith, tries to start his life over again with the help of a new friend.”
Manglehorn stars Al Pacino, Holly Hunter, Chris Messina, and Harmony Korine and is set for release in June, 2015.
