Paul Thomas Awesomeson

There hasn’t been much news regarding Paul Thomas Anderson’s latest film Inherent Vice until now, but this brand spankin’ new trailer gives us a reasonable idea of the inherent vibe (eh) of the film. There are a number of flicks that come to mind when watching the trailer, including The Big Lebowski, Jackie Brown and Anderson’s own Boogie Nights, but Anderson has always managed to leave a distinctly personal mark on all his work, so it’s unlikely that Inherent Vice will be particularly derivative. Or will it? We literally have no idea about anything. Either way, we’ll be in line the day it comes out. Actually, we’ll probably get to see it early, but you get the idea.

Inherent Vice stars Joaquin Phoenix, Joshn Brolin, Owen Wilson, Reese Witherspoon, Benicio Del Toro and Katherine Waterston and is set for release in December, 2014.
