Sometimes the idea of James Bond is more compelling than James Bond himself. Ask yourself when was the last time that a James Bond film was really amazing? Perhaps it was never. Perhaps it was Moonraker (hint: it wasn’t). Even James Bond films with really top notch elements still fall frustratingly short of the mark. And yet with every new entry into the franchise we lap up every new trailer, still, Daniel Craig sex tape etc… like it’s the second coming of From Russia With Love (is that the best one? Probably. It’s got a good theme song). Spectre is Bond’s latest outing and it marks the return of director Sam Mendes, who helped propel Skyfall to it’s mammoth box office returns of over one billion dollars. The trailer looks great, but then heaps of trailers looked great. The trailer for Terminator Salvation looked great. The trailer for Clash of the Titans looked great. We’re not sure. But then again, we’re not sure about anything. Either way, we’ll be seeing Spectre when it comes out in November. Because it’s James Bond.

“In the aftermath of the bombing of MI6 by Raoul Silva, a cryptic message sets in motion events that will see James Bond come face-to-face with a sinister organisation known as SPECTRE. As M continues fighting political pressures that threaten the future of MI6, Bond is drawn into a confrontation with an enemy who knows him better than he knows himself and holds a dangerous secret that will force Bond to question the value of everything he has fought to protect.“

Spectre stars Daniel Craig, Christoph Waltz, Léa Seydoux, Monica Bellucci, Dave Bautista and Ralph Fiennes and is set for release in November, 2015.
