The bare necessities.

The Criterion Collection is one of the most handy companies out there, dedicated to gathering the greatest films from around the world and publishing them in editions of the highest quality, and even releasing them with supplemental material – when available – to help us appreciate more the art of film. While the price of their DVDs may be more than your average flick, there’s no denying the care that the Criterion Collection go to in their work. Some time last year, the company released a book showcasing the artwork that goes into the covers of each of their releases. Thanks to a helpful Vimeo user, kogomada, we’ve got this short video that shows some of the art on display.
