Nom nom nom.
After wallowing in distribution hell for well over a year, Eli Roth’s The Green Inferno was finally rescued by Blumhouse Productions and will see a theatrical release. Despite his debatable skill as a director, Roth has a knack for coming up with some pretty terrifying horror concepts. He’s the mind behind Hostel, which was actually quite a decent film up until all the bad things (murder, torture etc.) started happening. Early reviews of The Green Inferno have been mixed but this brand spankin’ new trailer certainly gave us the willies. That’s a saying isn’t it? Fuck.
“An idealistic group of student activists travel from New York City to the Amazon to save a vanishing native tribe, but their small plane crashes in the jungle. They are then, ironically, taken hostage by the very natives they want to protect.”
The Green Inferno stars Lorenza Izzo, Ariel Levy, Aaron Burns, Kirby Bliss Blanton and Magda Apanowicz and is set for release in September, 2015.
